Dr. Valera was awarded the Robert D. Voogt Founders Founders Award at the 2020 North American Brain Injury Society’s annual meeting.
This award is presented to an individual who demonstrates dedication to the advancement of the field of traumatic brain injury. The award recognizes contributions made in the areas of clinical care, research, policy, litigation, or advocacy. The individual should represent the tenacious spirit and unwavering commitment towards persons with traumatic brain injuries that Dr Robert Voogt exemplified over his lifetime.
