McKenna Sakamoto
McKenna (she/her) is a third-year PhD student in the Clinical Psychology program at Penn State advised by Peter Arnett and Frank Hillary. She received a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Philosophy and Education Studies from the University of San Diego. McKenna’s research interests include (1) examining outcomes after mild traumatic brain injury to inform interventions, and (2) understanding the role of diverse identities in administering and interpreting neuropsychological assessments. Currently, her two primary populations of interest include people who have experienced intimate partner violence and athletes with a history of sport-related concussion. When she's not in the lab, McKenna can be found rock climbing, surfing, thrift shopping, and trying new recipes.
