Maria Xu
Maria is a first-year student at Harvard College studying neuroscience and global health & health policy. Her experience as a volunteer at a municipal long-term-care center and in the thoracic cancer clinic of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre have informed her desire to provide accessible and compassionate care for vulnerable populations. She is interested in conducting research on the long-term neuropsychological impacts of traumatic brain-injury through the Valera Lab, with the hopes of promoting health equity and improved care for women who are victims of intimate partner violence.
